La Ceiba Carnival – La Ceiba

Location: Honduras

Celebrated for several days before its height on the 3rd Saturday of May every year, the carnival in La Ceiba draws spectators from throughout Central America. The town’s population triples to a quarter million people and rivals the fame of New Orleans, Mardi Gras so be sure to book your place to stay early. You will find many cultural events, float parades, and the “Gran Carnival de Amistad” on Saturday. You will find a band on every street corner and dancing till dawn, so get your groovin’ shoes on!
