Galway International Oyster Festival

Location: Ireland

Not just any oyster fest, this has been happening for over 50 years. With over 10,000 people attending this event, over 4,000 oysters consumed, and sponsored by Guiness beer it is hard for this festival to be more authentically Irish! And what would an Irish festival be without a beauty competition? Each year the pearl competition is the search for a “talented and personable young lady”. Of course the oyster opening competition and Gala Ball all add to the festivities that will make your time in Galway something to remember.
