Abu Simbel Festival

This festival does happen twice a year, February being the opposite season, but October kicks off the best time to visit Egypt. At the pyramids of Giza the inner sanctuary lights up at sunrise marking the birthday and and rise of power of Pharaoh Rameses II (perspectively in the different seasons). Of course the celebration includes food, dancing, and music. What would a celebration be without it?
