Carnival in Panama - Panama City

Celebrated in the nations Capital during the five days preceding Ash Wednesday, Panama City comes alive with music and dancing.  While the festivities are attended by tens of thousands of tourists, Panamanians from all parts of the country migrate into the city to celebrate. The Grand Parade on Fat Tuesday is crowned as the festivals highlight. There are also a very well known folkloric celebrations in all the small provincial cities on the Peninsula de Azuero and reaching its high point in Las Tablas. Carnival Panama is widely considered the best Carnival in Central America and among Panamanians, the best Carnival in the world.
