On the banks of the one of the most beautiful lakes in New Zealand the annual Summer Daze Festival kicks off with an incredible calender of events. Queenstown, known as the capital of extreme sports and Lake Wanaka renowned for it's beauty hosts the eclectic festival. The Summerdaze festival has an explosive start on New Year's Eve, with live entertainment and fireworks displays. The fun continues throughout January with international cricket and ironman distance triathlon, favourites such as the Wanaka Rodeo, Glenorchy races and the Lake Hayes A&P show, teddy bears' picnics' and community fun days.
