Snow Festival - Sapporo

From: February 06 To February 13
Location: Japan

Snow FestivalLocated in the uppermost tip, Sapporo is known as the Munich of Japan. The city is famous for it's lively night life, incredible food and the Snow Festival. Once a year, thousands of artist and volunteers gather to create a winter wonderland of ice sculptures and snow festivities. The festival goers are treated to massive and intricate arctic creations that are erected throughout the city. One of the most stunning displays this year was a colossal rendition of the Budapest Parliament Building, while the extraordinary underwater scene included life size whales and dolphins. The children play on the ice playgrounds, and ride the train through the frozen maze, while the rest of the crowds enjoy hot chocolate in an igloo and cocktails at the ice bar. At night, under the exhibitions dreamy glow, live bands perform and the crowds let loose and dance under the starry sky.
