Tribeca Film Festival - New York City

The Tribeca Film Festival is considered a make or break event for unreleased films and their directors.  Founded in 2002 by legendary actor Robert Di Nero in response to the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, this is event has genuine roots in Hollywood and social awareness.  From the end of April to the beginning of May, Manhattan theaters put up the velvet ropes and throw down the red carpet for the Hollywood elite and up and coming "it" crowd.  With around 300 films and 1000 screenings, in true eclectic NYC style, seats are filled up with movie stars, film students and cinema lovers.
