International Jazz Music Festival – Port-au-Prince

This music fest usually lasts the first week of March in Cannes-a-Sucre park. Although it is an international festival you will find plenty of local bands and that the jazz represented here is often heavily Latin and Spanish influenced. If you’re feeling especially musical, you can attend any number of workshops throughout the week hosted by the weeks performers. There is a deep history of jazz in Haitian culture; you will not go this week missing out on a piece of Haiti.
