Independence Day - Ashgabat

What’s amazing about this festival is that it has been around less than twenty years. On this historic day for the people of Turkmenistan, crowds fill the local town squares and parks to watch parades, concerts, and shows. And what would an independence day be without fireworks? While in the capital keep an eye out for the president who always addresses the people at the parade.
