Bird of Prey Festival - Manzhyly-Ata

Based around the celebration of hunting birds, namely golden eagles and hawks, you may not find another festival quite like this. There is a long tradition of training these birds of prey to hunt on behalf of their master, and there is no shortage of their expertise in bird training now. With “Berkutchi’s” demonstrations of falconry, a folklore show, tasting of local foods, and visiting local legendary sites, you will more than likely get more than you expected. The town that this is held in is near Lake Issyk Kul.
