Amman International Theatre Festival

While Jordan may seem like an unlikely place for a festival of this artistic genre, it has been going strong for over fifteen years. Not to mention it is the only festival of its kind that is organized by an independent theatre in the Middle East and the entire continent of Africa! There are eight days of performances from several countries in the region, workshops (including sound techniques, improv, and dance), and movie days. And to broaden the art presented, there are plastic art exhibitions and poetic days.
