El Colacho Festival - Castrillo de Murcia

From: June 01 To June 06
Location: Spain

This will definitely blow the socks off of any festival you have been to. Stretching back to 1620, men dress up like the devil (El Colacho) and jump over a row of babies in the street to “cleanse” them of evil. The event is held every year in honor of Corpus Christi, but the tradition has evolved as I’m not sure if the devil ever wore Nikes. Getting chased down the street by the devil is all part of the fun, it’s no horror movie. And be sure to see the parade on the Sunday prior, it won’t disappoint.
